as i said in my last missive there are silver threaded highlights to be had. I shall list them here in no particular order.
1. Maria was made redundant from her job - sad news but it means she can be with me without having to " get permission" etc. this is fantastic for us as we can lots of things at the spur of the moment (Romance, Romance, you still have a place in our lives! Please stay until the end!)
2. I am eligible, and have sent off for, a Disabled Badge which I shall
use for the Shagguar - and no I wont abuse it at all (not arf eh?)
3. I am also in the process of applying for Disability Living Allowance. as its an allowance its condition not means tested. This means that us rich buggers can get it too and i understand its about £65 plus per week and it's surely better in my pocket than Gordon's. this will cover a tank full of petrol for the above.
4. The messages of support and offers of help, from work rest and play (sound like an ad for Mars Bars), have been truly amazing, and I feel very humbled by it all. My apologies to those whom I have not had a chance to get back to but it does not mean I love or thank you any less.
5. The amount of jokes people have been texting has also been amazing. Keep 'em coming!
6. The district nurses have contacted me to set up a program of attendance and i am eagerly awaiting their visit for bed baths etc. In keeping with this - any lady bloggers out there so inclined can join my list of bed bath volunteers that i am putting together.
As I said bloggers, its not all doom and gloom. Perception is everything and can make a great difference to your standpoint, attitude, and outlook.
I don't want a positive out look, (wish i had a penny for the number of times I've heard that). Instead I'm busy cultivating my Distinctly bad Assed Review of Attitude towards it all, which i can shorten to DARA (sounds familiar, but I'm not sure from where). you never know i might be able to get hold of some printed T shirts or something with it on.
After all I gave up smoking just like that with no props etc. which means with a bad assed attitude I can provide my condition with the right response, and make as difficult as possible for Mr.C and his ways.
Anyhow bloggers thats enough for this entry next time i shall provide you with som plus points for my prognosis.toodle pip
