hi chaps and chapesses

As most of you know I have been a Freemason for a long time, a fact of which I am extremely proud. For many people their main knowledge about freemasons is that they do a lot for charity.
This is true but the message in the ritual (sometimes missed) based on brotherly love, relief and truth refers to a set of moral truths to help you live your life as a good citizen, and it is these qualities that I aspire to.

I am also extermely proud of my lodge Absit Invidia 6751 and all of its members, and I am very supportive of all that it stands for and achieves.
I was lucky enough (if thats the right phrase) to be chosen as Master of the Lodge in 2001 an honour that still fills me with pride, humility and gratitude
Last night I informed the brethren of my condition, and the spontanaeous and unconditional words and feelings of support I received from my brethren were everwhelming.

Truly I am blessed.
Despite the ups and downs of my condition and its treatment, I intend to carry on as normally in life as possible for as long as I can and lodge meetings are no exception.

The dinner afterwards included haggis etc., and all the trimmings including a piper and a singer along with a reading of some of Burns Poetry composed especially for his Brother masons (yes he was one too). Check him out!
