Saturday Morning Matinee

Hi Bloggers

When i was a child in the mid 1960's all of the cinemas had a Saturday morning Matinee, or Cinema Club. it kept us out of mischief for the morning if nothing else. TV was in its infancy remember.

The first feature film I can remember watching was "A Hard Day's Night " starring the Beatles, at the Odeon Cinema in Cosham high street. (See centre of piccy on right)

The film was heavily promoted with the entrance fee being two empty packets of Brooke Bond Tea.

Its all passed away now as a relic of a bygone age, as most young people watch telly or play on their DS or Wii. progress!

Anyhow, the reason that this is brought to mind is that recently I had to explain my condition to several younger people, which wasn't easy. I also told them that they could view today's entry with mummy and daddy.

So a big Yo, How are you Doing? to all you mini bloggers on this Saturday Morning Blog Matinee. Although I'm poorly we can still find time for a laugh, so thanks for looking.

Riddle me re:

What gets wetter the more it dries? A Towel geddit?

What can go up a chimney down, but can't go down a chimney up? An Umbrella geddit?

What shivers at the bottom of the sea? A nervous wreck - boom boom

Joke time:

knock knock
who's there?
Adolf
Adolf who?
A Dolf ball hit me in de mowf. Dat's why I'm talking like dis!

I love you guys
talk soon

Stevie T
