Hi folks c'est moi

How many eggs could a frenchman eat on an empty stomach?
One because in France one egg is un oeff. Geddit?
Quiet old day yesterday - bin day for recyclabubbles.
Our friend Charlotte and her son Jack (2 years) came for their dinner.
We had Mince with mashed potato, mashed swede, cabbage and Yorkshire puddings. It was luscious, and all of us ate with gusto (although just who invited gusto remains to be seen?).
Maria's dog Daisy clung to Jack like a limpet during dinner and faithfully kept the carpet clean of any debris, as only a dog can do.
Dogs seem to have an affinity with children at meal times don't they?
A phone call from the medicos provided dates for my treatment:
Monday 16th Feb - Kidney function testing
Thursday 19th Feb - Chemo commences
This is good news as it means Maria and I can now plan for the future as I will have a routine of sorts. Although I'm guessing i believe it will be along the lines of : Tuesdays - Blood tests, Thursdays Chemo
Maria went into work for the last time in the afternoon, to complete her handover to her polish counterpart (Hence the title of this entry). Quite a poignant time for her, and indeed for all of them. Afterwards all of the redundees had a P.U. at the local pub and I picked her up later in the evening.
