just a quick not before ui begin to tell you that both Maria and my forays into the kitchen last night were successful - Yum Yum., and no theres isn't any left. (You are what you eat which is why I like pork - oink!)
My main thrust for this post was to tell you about these guys:
Harbour Cancer Support Center
They provide "Practical and Emotional Support for Anyone Affected by Cancer" and they do "what it says on the tin."
Their website (just click on the link above), as is their centre is well worth a visit. its all very informal and the guys there are lovely, and was just the job for me and Maria. we popped in last week just to find out what was what and were very well received, and we will definitely be going back there. They also provide information about other local services, such as volunteer drivers etc. (Maria fancies the Aromatherapy sessions)
They are used by MacMillan and the NHS who refer people to them, but are self funded and rely on volunteers and public subscription so please bear them in mind, should you wish to donate either time or money to a charity.
Anyhow rather than me going on about them, log on to their site and find out, or better still drop in for a cuppa and a chat. It's down by the Gosport ferry on the top floor of the bus station. you can be sure of a warm welcome.
You never know who you might meet there.
