Richard and I left the house at he same time, he went homewards to Sussex, me I went to Haslar to see Anita the MacMillan Nurse and benefit boffin!

She explained the benefits and allowance system in place nowadays. there seems to be much more based upion national insurance contributions rather than circumstances or whether you get some other benefit.
I intend to apply for as much as possible as I feel I have given enough to various Chancellors during my life thus far. I have never been on the dole etc. and feel that a little payback is more that juustified.
She (Anita) helped me apply for DLA and all was well. I feel that I will need to see her again probably as my illness progresses and my needs change (carers allowance for Maria for examlple).
