It would be remiss of me not to mention and event which almost passed unnoticed during all the palaver over the week end.

It was very much the end of an era in that my good friend and neighbour Debbie moved to a new place.

She has exchanged with a lady who had a smaller house; good sense when you think about it as there is less house to heat and decorate etc.

She hasn't gone far, (near the church in Gregson Avenue,) and has threatened to visit me still (only joking). We have been neighbours and friends for over 15 years and I shall miss her, but at the same time wish her all my very best wishes for life in her new home.
