Blood and and No Miss Steak

Hi guys

Here's a lovely story about what can happen.

My cousin, who is a blog follower, read about my misfortunes earlier in the month when I ended up in Hospital and needed a transfusion of platelets.

Now my blood group is B Rh Pos which is quite rare which also was a reason for my receipt of a blood product, taking its time in preparation.


She was so struck by all of this that she went went and donated "a pint" at one of the NHS Sessions, on the message of one out and one in. Isn't that wonderful?

I now it doesn't match all the young girls going and getting their smear tests done (because of Jade), but what a gesture nonetheless eh?

Giving blood, and thus being a donor is very easy, in fact until recently I have been one myself. So to all of you bloggers who donate blood, or blood products like platelets, well done!

To those who are considering doing it please chase it up its a very laudable cause, and helps all of our community.

All in all I feel very humble and start to realise the full implications of being a donor and recipient.
