On a more serious note, bedtime saw me have coughing fit resulting in me possibly ripping something in the lung area. Since lying down, I have been coughing up the claret for a couple of hours now as whatever it is is refusing to stop bleeding (weeping).

Obviously I have got up and although the rate is reducing, over time, my ability "to clot" has been impaired by the Chemo, and I am waiting to see what happens before I call in the cavalry.
I am am taking Codeine Linctus which will inhibit my cough and thus reduce any aggravation of the situation.
This is a sharp reminder of how quickly my situation can deteriorate.
Whilst we are on the subject of bodily impairment chemo also kills and reduces the ability of my immune system to carry out its normal function.

So should any of you be planning a visit (and it will be lovely to see you, but ring first), be aware of the risks of infection for me, as something small to you could prove fatal to me

Yes just like during pregnancy to remove the risk of infection.
