and like the proverbial cat I have used up another of my nine lives, for reasons explained below: (Check this cat out - two faced!)
I'll begin by talking about the new Chemo regime, as a lot of of people have rung me confused as to my prognosis, thinking "That's It It's all over!"
Well let me state here and now that it is NOT!.
In my last post I stated that the chemo hasn't worked and this is true.
HOWEVER: all is not doom and gloom as I have embarked on a new treatment cycle with a different chemical, Docetaxel (Taxotere®) which has had good results. Some things work for you and some things work for others.
So wait and see. The Fat Lady isn't singing yet, as she has decided to change the music, and there's still a long way to go to the auditorium!
I had chemo as normal on Thursday 23rd afternoon but something occurred which will explain my absence from you all.
A chance remark to the nurse about thirst etc prompted her to check my blood sugar levels.
They were off the scale, and all sorts of consternation broke loose.
